Frequently asked questions
Are boomerangs available for right- or left-handed people?
Are boomerangs available for right- or left-handed people?
Yes, because they don't spin in the same direction depending on which hand you use it with. The boomerang is designed like an airplane wing, so its profile will be different depending on the direction of rotation. Leading edge on one side and trailing edge on the other. Note that my ambidextrous model is the only one in my entire collection that can be used by left-handed and right-handed people, if that were the case

Is the boomerang difficult to throw?
Is the boomerang difficult to throw?
It's a lightweight object that requires only a sharp flick of the wrist to turn on itself. No force is required. So, like any game of skill, the first few throws will be random, and the more you feel the object and the wind, understand the positioning and the angles to be respected, naturally, the more accurate your throws will be. On average, in just over an hour, you'll have a reasonable grasp of the basics. There's no secret to it, and like all sports, practice is essential if you want to progress.
What is the minimum age for this activity?
What is the minimum age for this activity?
I recommend it for ages 7/8 and up, as it's an exercise in patience, manual dexterity and, above all, coordination. You need to respect this age if you want to lend it around. Like all sports, it's the practice under the right conditions that does the rest!
What type of field is ideal for boomerang practice?
What type of field is ideal for boomerang practice?
Any grassy or sandy surface (no concrete or hard surfaces), about the size of a small soccer pitch, as a general rule twice as far away from you as your boomerang's own distance. Of course, avoid poles, trees and other obstacles.
How to throw your boomerang with the right way
How to throw your boomerang with the right way
You'll be introduced to this age-old game of skill, learning all the techniques with a model inspired by those I've been using in competition since 1983. Boomerangs are all different in their aerodynamic profile, size and shape, and are influenced by wind and thermals. For the best use of this object, choose a day when the wind is very light (15 km/h or less). Stronger winds will make its return unpredictable. As with all sports, grass and sand are ideal surfaces to practice on (soccer pitch). Don't throw on concrete or any other hard, compact surface. Make sure you always practice in a large, open, flat space. Like any game of skill, it takes practice to learn how to throw your boomerang. Don't be discouraged if your first attempts don't work. Yes, throwing back is not an exact science!
How dangerous is the boomerang?
How dangerous is the boomerang?
Unfortunately, myths and legends about this object are still very much alive today. Practising any sport can be difficult and risky, but boomerangs are a harmless game of skill, not an extreme sport. My boomerangs weigh around 40 grams, compared with a frisbie which weighs around 175 grams, a tennis ball which weighs 50 grams, and a soccer which weighs 400 grams, all of which travel at much higher speeds, so you'll understand why we have a poor perception of an object whose operation we don't really know. The material has nothing to do with it; it's the inertia generated by the throw that makes the difference in all the equipment used. Like all sporting activities, common sense is essential. One thrower at a time, taking turns in single file - these are also our competition rules!
Can the boomerang break?
Can the boomerang break?
As with any material, nothing is unbreakable, so avoid bending or twisting it, and of course respect the conditions of use associated with this sport (playground, obstacles, etc....). If care is taken, the boomerang will last a very long time. It can be placed vertically on a wall to decorate your home. It can, of course, go in water, and the plywood floats. So it can even be used on snow-covered ground.
How to maintain your boomerang
How to maintain your boomerang
This boomerang requires no special maintenance. It can be used all year round on wet surfaces, at the water's edge or even on snow-covered ground. This boomerang is designed to operate when completely flat. Never expose it to excessive heat. We advise you to keep the boomerang upright at all times (on a wall, for example) and not to place anything on top of it. The great care taken in manufacturing and the choice of materials used guarantee your boomerang will last for a long time.
